For 30 years Tabatha has worked as an innovative wound clinician, improving and inspiring wound prevention and management through education, research, and expert consultations. She has a special interest in empowering the wounded and those who care for them to achieve person-cantered outcomes.

She has worked across acute, subacute, aged care and community sectors as a Wound Nurse Practitioner at Wound Innovations, as a Wound Nurse Consultant with the Royal Melbourne Hospital and RDNS in both Victoria and South Australia and is currently the Nurse Practitioner for Plastics/Wound Management in the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

A published author and invited speaker, she translates evidence-based wound prevention and management into practice and participates in national and international peak groups to review and establish guidelines. Her research presentation awards include the 2023 LINK Congress Best Presentation for Advanced Wound Care, the 2022 Wounds Australia Conference Best Research presentation, the 2019 Best Oral E-poster Award at the 29th EWMA Conference and most recently a Bronze Award at the 2024 Journal of Wound Care Awards.
